	Hello everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I am having an issue with the profile traces on splines I am inspecting. They look horrible but the lead traces seem to look fine. Believe I ran into this before but can't remember how I remedied this. Included the gearing data and I am also using a 1mm probe. I am evaluating all 11 teeth not just 4. Not sure if that is something that needs to change or not. I am sure I left some details out that could help. Thanks for any assistance.

<p>
	Hallo zusammen,
</p>

<p>
	aktuell arbeiten wir noch mit Gear Pro 6.0.4.16 aber wollen jetzt updaten, da wir immer mal wieder kleine Schwierigkeiten haben.
</p>

<p>
	Man hat mir jedoch gesagt, dass das etwas anders ist als mit Calypso. Bei Calypso kann man ja die neue Version installieren und die alte läuft zur Not trotzdem noch. Bei Gear Pro würde das anscheinend nicht so sein. Da wir aber nur eine Maschine haben auf der Gear Pro läuft, habe ich etwas bedenken...
</p>

<p>
	Jetzt meine Frage: Hattet ihr mal Probleme nach einem Update und hatte jemand einen ähnlich großen Sprung was die Versionen angeht?
</p>

<p>
	Danke euch vorab!
</p>

<p>
	I have a weird frustrating issue with GearPro, want to see if anyone else if seeing the same thing.
</p>

<p>
	For years I've stitched my GearPro reports to the end of my Calypso reports using PDF all (using GhostScript) save in Calypso.   Never had any issues with it.
</p>

<p>
	Recently, I've had a couple of programs that are failing to stitch together.  Its saving just the Calypso reports.  Even more frustrating, its not entirely repeatable.  It seems to happen more often on all tooth scans (reports are larger maybe causing issue?).  Also, if I restart Calypso and GearPro it will almost always correctly stitch the first one just find, but subsequent runs may not stitch.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I know this isn't necessarily a GearPro issue, but has anyone seen this before?
</p>

<p>
	Hi all,
</p>

<p>
	I seem to be having trouble setting Gearpro to only measure certain aspects of a gear. I want to have the option via mini-plans to run either a full gear inspection (Profile, Lead, Pitch) or a Lead only check. I created another gear macro in characteristics and selected the appropriate gear file, making sure the deactivate the profile and pitch, but they still appear in the gear macro after selection. Am I missing a step in the process or will Calypso skip the profile and pitch when it reads the file?

<p>
	We have recently version gearpro.
</p>

<p>
	Pre version(gearpro) has fha(helix error).
</p>

<p>
	I don't understand why the ANSI B92.1 specification released before 2000 has been changed to after 2025.
</p>

<p>
	This is a sudden development. Fa represents the total profile error and is an absolute value. Fa, which has a vector value, does not align with higher-level theories. In other measuring instruments, the Fa value is an absolute value. The Zeiss Gear Pro is the only exception. We managed it using fha (helix error). This is because fha (helix error) is the only parameter that possesses directionality.

<p>
	Guten Morgen zusammen, aktuell habe ich das Problem das bei der Messung einer Ritzelwelle welche ich schon gut gemessen habe auf einmal das Profil schlecht dargestellt wird und der Rest soweit gut/annehmbar ist.
</p>

<p>
	Dieser Fehler tritt auch bei Teilen anderer Größe auf und bei Programmen welche die Teile ursprünglich gut gemessen haben.
</p>

<p>
	Ich habe schon die Taster gewechselt, überprüft, neu eingemessen und konnte hier nichts auffälliges finden.
</p>

<p>
	Ich habe auch schon im Calypso die Ergebnisse geprüft da ich an Probleme mit der Ausrichtung dachte, hier war jedoch auch nichts zu finden, da ich hier dann auch deutliche Abweichungen feststellen müsste wenn die Ausrichtung schon nicht passt.
</p>

<p>
	Da Gear für mich relativ neu ist bin ich hier für jede Hilfe Dankbar

	Also, when I click "OK" to the message "ACIS Socket Already in Use", I can start inputting the main geometry for the gear, but the "DISPLAY GEO" button to generate the CAD model is greyed out.  See attached.

<p>
	In GearPro Ver. 7.2, even if we narrow the chart’s start/end points and the evaluation’s start/end points to be smaller than the range of the K diagram—as shown in the figure (default)—there is no difference in the resulting error values. For profile error, profile slope error, and similar items, the numerical results change according to the set range. In previous versions, the error values in the K diagram also changed according to the evaluation range. How can we obtain the same behavior as before?<br>
	Also, the numerical results are output even when the “Tolerance Evaluation” checkbox is turned off.

<p>
	Hi everyone,
</p>

<p>
	My next hurdle is excluding teeth from my internal gear. I currently have the exact location selected within the special menu settings, however, when I run the inspection through simulation, the probe is still measuring inside the missing tooth. I've tried moving the tooth and even adding extra missing teeth around the original, yet the simulation is insistent that there is something in the gap to measure. I am using the standard 4 tooth profile/lead and all teeth for pitch (which excludes the gap).
</p>

<p>
	Additionally, after executing the program offline the default gear report is not being generated. The window opens and says there are two pages, but nothing is visible. I wanted to have the gear report attached to my PiWeb report from Calypso.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

	Our shop has 5 different CMM's, so in an effort to keep up with revision changes across all machines I have created an online directory that holds the most recent program for operators to pull from. That part has been functioning fine, however I cannot get the actuals to save back to the online directory. I have tried every option under "Measuring results Export (ASCII)" and changing both the export paths. I can get gear pro to create the needed folder but the actuals file continues to save to the previous location on the computer SSD.

I can see the trace as its plotting, I can get them to export at the end of the run as a pdf, but the pop-up that shows the same thing at the end is showing blank. Has only been an issue on a couple of programs since updating to gear pro 2025.

<p>
	To preface I am fairly new to GearPro and reading gear drawings/prints in general. I am running into an issue with a gear that is giving me a collision error around the 7th and 8th tooth in a 12-tooth gear. I've sent the program to Zeiss and when simulating they didn't see anything wrong with it or the data I input from the print. Is there something I am missing here? During Feed-In when aligning to the gear it does give me a pop-up noting the measured tooth thickness does not match the calculated tooth thickness from my Addendum Modification Coefficient x, I will also note that I have tried multiple different base alignments and am running into the same issue(s).

<p>
	I am having problems with my Gear Pro 2025 software.  I want to export my points I just measured for CTT, OD, and RD in a format that I can put into Solidworks.  But I have been having nothing but problems with it.  I do NOT know how to write script.  I wouldn't even know where to put it.  For a 13 Tooth gear, it barely showed me any data for each tooth on the report itself.  If I could get an XYZ, TXT, excel, anything, would be helpful.  Ever since I upgraded, it stinks.
</p>

<p>
	If someone would be kind to walk me through this process, I would be so grateful.  Message me.  I can give you my email.  Please.  People mention a clouds, and I have no clue what that is.  Our company is strict on connecting the Zeiss to the internet or network for security reasons.  I just want it to work correctly.
</p>

<p>
	I am hoping someone can help me.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you.

<p>
	Hi everyone. I am just starting out in GEAR PRO and am currently working from an offline station. I have all of my stylus systems loaded through CALYPSO, however, I do not see any of them listed within GEAR PRO. Is there an additional step needed to bring them over? Thank you in advance.

	Hello.

</p>

<p>
	Is it possible somehow to set a bigger search distance, especially when measuring pitch/MdK? The problem I have is that we have some parts with excentricity error fc around 0,5 mm. Gear stops measuring with message "probing not found".

<p>
	Hi, my friends.
</p>

<p>
	I have this kind of demand in drawing:<img alt="image.png.13252bf202cd5f9c84edec974e6c53d2.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="12037" data-ratio="13.04" style="height:auto;" width="368" data-src="https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/uploads/monthly_2025_12/image.png.13252bf202cd5f9c84edec974e6c53d2.png" src="https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png">
</p>

<p>
	I`m little bit confused about what I need to put in calculation of fHbeta? Is this correct, nominal value, slope modification, will it calculate correctly high point of crowning?

<p>
	Hi everyone  I should know this but perhaps it is slipping my mind.
</p>

<p>
	 I have Gear Pro DFM PiWeb data saving turned on to save the gear characteristics to the PiWeb Database, (I also have QDAS activated and outputting as well). This puts hundreds of extra characteristics into the CALYPSO/PiWeb report.  The gear pro manual seems to hint that we can 'hide' or 'mark' these.  Do I just 'mark' the gear macro ? I tried this with existing data - but didn't seem to work, I am running another part to confirm.
</p>

<p>
	I don't want the .jpg from gear pro - rather just the DFM files, because we may need to review data later specifically for gears in PiWeb Reporting plus. I also do not want any gear characteristics in the CALYPSO report, the standard PDF gear report separately is fine.
</p>

<p>
	I think we have other programs set up as this one is now, and it doesn't seem to output the gear characteristics.
</p>

<p>
	thank you !
</p>
