	I would like to perform a derivative operation on an array.

	The first array is the values of a dimension. The second array is the time.

	How can I perform delta_Y / delta_time?

<p>
	It would also be great if is there a guide for writing valid actual expressions in GOM.

	Hello all,
</p>

<p>
	I would like to evaluate measures like principal strain, strain-rate in a certain direction over a line through the deformation scenes.
</p>

<p>
	I would define a line on a surface component, and I would let the software to evaluate the desired measure through this line with a desired discrete number of points, over whole deformation scenes.<br>

</p>

<p>
	Is this possible?

I watched one webinar in that it has shown that we have to run the python script to import the FEA data from the ABACUS software. Please help how I can export the FEA data from ABACUS and use it for FEA comparison in the software.

	Hi everyone,

<p>
	I am currently working on a project to correlate DIC data with FE models from ABAQUS within Zeiss Correlate.
</p>

<p>
	Our team is using Abaqus, but our stress engineers use .sim files rather than the traditional .ODB format. I am aware of the existing Python script that converts ODB files into GOMXML for import, but is there an updated script or an internal Zeiss addon that can handle SIM (3DEXPERIENCE/Abaqus) file conversions to GOMXML? Alternatively, has anyone successfully scripted a conversion from STL to GOMXML?

	Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated!

	Hi,

<p>
	I use Inspect correlate pro. I did a measurement that worked fine. A few minutes later I wanted to perform another measurement, but I had this message "Switch to the workspace set up and configure the measuring volume".  I already had this message when I made an update (Inspect correlate to Inspect correlate pro). This consisted of making a calibration, just after declaring a measuring volume (a gom object in my case). The problem is that the icon "calibrate" is not active anymore in the workspace "set up" (see the attached file)? I analyzed my sensor. It looks fine.

	Hello,

<p>
	In preparation for doing a 2D strain analysis, I would like to change the default time step (1 s) for all stages (imported as an image series) to match the real time step (0.00005 s) in the experiments. Previously, I have been able to do so by following these steps: "<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">RMB on the time line -&gt; Manage Stages -&gt; Select all stages in the pop up window -&gt; Edit Time Stamp".</span>

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I’m trying to perform a strain analysis on an analogue tectonic experiment, but it seems that Zeiss Correlate avoids the areas where heavy deformation occurs. Is there any way to fix this issue? These are actually the most important regions for the experiment.
</p>

<p>
	Also, since the experiment was conducted in 2006 without considering optical strain measurement, the pattern quality is quite poor. However, there are very clear grid lines, if that helps in any way.

<p>
	Hello everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I am new to ZEISS Correlate and would like to ask whether the software can measure crack length frame by frame from captured images during a test.
</p>

<p>
	I have a sequence of images with a clear crack path. I know the fixed starting reference point, and I can visually identify the crack tip moving in each frame.
</p>

<p>
	What I want to achieve:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		Define one fixed reference point that remains constant in all frames.
	</li>
	<li>
		Define one moving point (crack tip) that the software automatically tracks across all frames.
	</li>
	<li>
		Have ZEISS automatically calculate and export the distance between these two points for each frame (crack length vs time).
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	It would be very helpful if someone could recommend the workflow in ZEISS Correlate to set up this measurement and explain how to export the distance values for all frames as CSV/Excel.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance!

<p>
	Hello everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I'm currently performing strain analysis on a 2D specimen subjected to a uniaxial tensile load using Digital Image Correlation (DIC). I’ve encountered an issue: the strain in the Y-direction appears negative on the upper half of the specimen, which is unexpected under tensile loading.
</p>

<p>
	I suspect this might be due to specimen slipping during the test, possibly at the grips.
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone experienced a similar issue?<br>
	Is there any post-processing method or correction technique in DIC software (e.g., filtering, coordinate transformation, reference frame adjustment) that could help address this?
</p>

<p>
	I've attached an image of the experimental setup and the strain result for reference.
</p>

<p>
	Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
</p>

<p>
	Thank you in advance.

<p>
	Hello, I am a beginner level user in Zeiss Correlate. I have the entire set of images of a tensile test that is captured with Aramis. As the strain is large, I am having missing data problem after 40% deformation as some points can not be tracked. This causes gaps on the surface of the specimen which increase in number as the deformation proceeds further.

<p>
	How can I fill these gaps effectively with interpolation? Do I need to do this operation for all the visible stages one-by-one until necking and failure? So far I tried the options <strong>Section&gt;Close gaps, Mesh&gt;Repair, Mesh&gt;Close holes interactively </strong>but could not proceed fully with any of these options.

<p>
	The Aramis 3D camera system is going to be positioned in front of an environmental chamber (Instron 3119) capable of heating the specimen to 600°C. Due to the maximum working distance limitation, the camera will be positioned very close to the glass window. I am concerned that the heat might negatively impact the camera’s functionality. Could you please clarify the maximum environmental temperature the camera can operate in? Is this information provided anywhere in the User Manual?

<p>
	does someone know how I can calculate the strain of each single facet and export this?

<p>
	In the Aramis 6.3 software it was possible to create an offline calibration using imported calibration images
</p>

<p>
	Is the same thing possible in the new correlate software?
</p>

<p>
	Cannot find any info on this topic.

	Hi,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm trying to calibrate one and another time with a CP20/175 panel for a 2D measurement, and all times the final message is MSensorCal-0231: The pre-orientation failed. However, alll the recorded images are checked (green tick) by the software, and the orientations found completely correct. What could be the cause of the error? Any suggestion?
</p>

<p>

<p>
	Thanks!

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I would like to keep track of a distance between the two certain marked lines during deformation of a specimen, the specimen cannot have a speckle pattern, but only marking lines.
</p>

<p>
	Let's say, I have a specimen where it is not possible to apply a speckle pattern. However, I can apply visible lines with a marker. These lines would then play the role of a physical touching probe extensometer. When I record the deformation of the specimen with marked lines, does Aramis offer an interface so it would be possible to compute the engineering strain over the distance between the marked lines ?
</p>

<p>
	Greetings,
</p>

<p>
	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	I am searching for high-quality camera for my DIC.
</p>

<p>
	Do I need high signal linearity value of  camera?
</p>

<p>
	Which is the best value of signal linearity?
</p>

<p>
	I consider ZL41_Wave_sCMOS and <span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Aptos, sans-serif;">AOS High Speed. </span>
</p>

<p>
	Have you had experience with such equipment?
</p>

<p>
	Which one do you recomend?
</p>

<p>
	Looking forward for your reply.
