When upgrading or swapping computers, back these directories up

Get out of calypso if you are in it, then: backup these folders (versions 5.6 and higher)

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\Config     <<< stores all your machine, probes, users, probe rack... VERY IMPORTANT
	(when backing this folder up, please make sure that the 2 scodata files get moved over. You might get prompted
         . These files can not be skipped)

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\inspections    <<programs... if they are on the network, no need to back this up

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\basesystems    <<saved alignments

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\results        <<, table files, pdf's . etc....

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\protocol\protform       <<< customer header info

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\data\excel_report        <<<, custom excel templates





Do not merge folders, If folders exist on the new pc, rename them and replace with the original


#2 – (If you are connecting to a CMM only) IP address for NIC card that is plugged into the Zeiss machine must be: 192.4.1.199, submask 255.255.255.0


Dont forget the software dongle usb device.. this might me plugged in on the inside of your old computer if its a Zeiss provided PC.


#3 - >>>> not necessary if you are installing an existing version on a new pc-  the license file(s)   (xxxxxxxxx.lic) must be moved over.. 
its located in the c:program data\zeiss\license directory. 
This is a hidden directory that must be shown to see the files…
