Measuring Symmetry

Hello,

I have no idea where to start when it comes to measuring SYMMETRY,
Please see the attached image with said dimension.

How would you go about measuring this? A step by step description would be enormously appreciated.

What I have done-

I created a 2d line. I recalled feature pts between the two 31.25 planes. I then created a SYMMETRY characteristic, chose my 2d line as the feature, and Datum A as the datum.
For some reason, my results are clearly corrupted - it says: 8.2329mm

There must be something wrong in how I am programming this.

My money is on the 2d line / recall by feature points.

But either I don't understand what I'm seeing in the image or I don't fully get the description. Or both.
Could you please mark the elements you are measuring / recalling, and what they are (planes, lines, holes etc.)? Where is datum A?

Create a symmetry in features and use the 2 planes, then use a MIN and Max Result using the symmetry as the feature and Datum A for the datum.

Create the Symmetry from the two planes. Symmetry is obsolete either way - use Position.
