NOT Pi-Web

About a million years ago (it seems), I created a custom report (NOT Pi-Web) for my measurement results. It's been so long that I can't remember what it is called, what kind of file it is, or where Calypso stores it. I want to share it, but I am having trouble finding it. I know it is still there somewhere because Calypso still uses it when I select that option. Can anyone help?

Custom reports are stored at

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\protocol\protform

as folders. So if your report is named XYZ you'll have a folder called XYZ, which you will need to copy in full.

Thank you, Thomas!

I've already looked in the location you mentioned and if my old report is in there, I sure can't find it. The only thing I can think of is the report was made with a very old version of Calypso, probably a dozen years ago. It very well may have been a different file format back then. I see .gra files and .ptx files. Are the .gra files just for Pi_Web? Being old as dirt and having memory failure is not a pretty thing. 😭

.gra files are the template files use to generate the custom reports and maybe the graphics elements. PiWeb templates use the .ptx extension. It's odd that you would have both in the same folder, since by default PiWeb templates are in a different location.

Do you define your report settings via the Multiple Reports menu? If you do, you can access the custom report editor from there, and view the file path to where it's stored. Otherwise, you can access Resources > Design custom report > Report head and you should get the same window. Remember that your custom report isn't just the file that window points to, but every item in that folder.

.

Hi Tracey. Just an FYI... the 2022 release of Calypso has absolutely zero support for Basic Reporter. It has been sent to the guillotine. You may not want to upgrade if you need to stick with the basic reporter.

Jeff: We do both where I work. I like the old way better, but I knew the day was coming when my beautiful, customized, old-style report would no longer be viable. Guess it's time to accept it and move on with life. 😠 🤣 🙄

THANKS for the help, guys!
