[Gr...]
Management has asked me to see if the offline planner Calypso seat on my laptop can be used as a backup if the usual workstation somehow goes up in flames. I've swapped over the CMM dongle and connected the CMM ethernet cable to the Planner software, but I get an error that no licenses are available when trying to start Calypso. I decided to stop at that point and seek guidance. Do I need to actually import the license to the new machine, or is the whole thing a fool's errand? [No...]
With a dongle license you need to copy over the license file from C.\ProgramData\Zeiss\License\ otherwise the dongle won't be recognized. Depending on your network infrastructure you might need a second network card in your offline PC (one for CMM communication, one for the network).
