[Sh...]
Good morning all, Does anyone know what this setting is used for and if we need it turned on or not? I believe it is defaulted to on.
[To...]
It is on here, but has to be turned on in the Features Settings Editor. Either "all features" or "selected features"
[Je...]
Shawn, It is for automatically exporting measuring points to a defined location in a different format than Zeiss's .zmp format. One reason a user may choose this is to capture data on a particular CMM but evaluate and report from a different computer and/or different software than Calypso. This can possibly speed up cycle time, because you're not waiting for Calypso to calculate and report. Another reason a user may choose this option is to preserve the "digital twin" of the part, which is the scanned data. This may be a more secure and agile strategy for storing the data than in the "idmeaspoints" folder that Calypso defaults to.
