[Ri...]
(All values are metric) I have two 2d Lines, 3mm apart on a surface. The lines results are acceptable (Profile 0.10). Z Nominal = 156mm Z actual (1) = 156.00895 Z actual (2) = 155.98541 When recalled into a Plane the result = 155.90734 I don't understand how it could be roughly 0.08mm less? [Ma...]
Do A1 and A2 match or do they differ?
[Ri...]
They differ, because the created plane is doing something the 2d Lines isn't. Even when I create a Plane with two internal scanned lines, its still roughly 0.08 less.
[To...]
Depending on the direction of the line, the X/Y origin of the plane could be at the opposite end from one or both of the lines. Meaning, the Z value of the plane could be a lot different from the lines due to the origin of lines. Not saying this is your problem, but it could be. That's why the A1/A2 values might be something to look at.Screenshot 2022-06-23 081302.jpg
[Ke...]
Have you compared Min/Max points for each feature?
[Ri...]
The two 2d Lines and the scanned Plane use the exact same geometry, length width and location including scan direction. They also use the same Filters and Outliers. They are identical, except one is called a Plane and the others are two 2d Lines.
[Ma...]
Screenshots of nominals/actuals for all 3 features would be nice.
[Ma...]
I would never be too concerned with the coordinate values reported for features like this as the locations they are calculated to could be projected for long distances. As Keith said look at the MIN and MAX coordinates for both lines and the plane. If they're markedly different, then verify evaluation, filters, and outlier settings as well as verifying all are referenced to the same alignment. [Er...]
From what I know that Z is the corner of the defined plane. As mentioned above, the A1/A2 angles can affect that Z coordinate.
