[To...]
We have an O-Inspect that we use daily in our facility. The question I have is about the CAD/Camera picture on the monitor. When I see the camera view and the CAD view overlapped, is this an accurate representation of the CAD to part alignment or is this more of just a graphic?O-Inspect.JPG
[Ch...]
Once the part has been aligned, then this view is as accurate as that alignment. That is to say, the O-inspect superimposes the camera feed onto the exact position (in three dimensions) that it thinks the part is, based on the current alignment. Also, it will be more accurate when using the 4 highest magnification levels, 1.61x through 6.3x.
[No...]
But this is only fully true as long as that alignment is the base alignment. If you have features with other alignments, you may notice deviations, because everything that happens visually in the CAD window is always based on the base alignment. Another thing I noticed is, when you have rather "exotic" alignments (e.g. rotated, maybe even with formulas) and try to position the camera on such a feature in manual mode, it may move somewhere else, while in CNC mode everything works as expected. This is the same effect: Everything's based on the base alignment.
