[Ch...] Posted June 9, 2022 Share Posted June 9, 2022 Shabu, One of my probes is a very long down probe with a 25mm ball diameter that looks very similar to your probe. And it does the same thing to me when calibrating. I'm pretty sure the sound is the ceramic ball contacting the ceramic reference sphere. The problem is specific to this probe. The idea of bouncing two precision ceramic balls together makes me cringe 🤣 My understanding is that 50% Dynamic halves the speed the CMM touches the part.
