Angle on point

Hey Guys,

How would measure to get point angles as highlighted of A, B, C, and D?

Would I create a circle on the diameter and radius and create intersection? Or is there another way to measure the feature?

Thanks,

If you have curve then you can use that and kink point between circle and circle - for me it's referring to transition between two surfaces.

Looks like a intersection of two rads. I would do a intersection of both rads, then do a 3d line from OD to that intersection. That should give you the angle you're looking for

You really can't measure the tangency of two circles like that. Just measure the angular position of the small radius and mathematically, the answer is technically the same. In other words, if you were to draw a line from the center of the large diameter to the center of the small diameter, the line would cross the tangency point.

I will try those different methods, the only problem is we don't have curve. I have been thinking about talking to my supervisor about getting the Curve Software added.

Technically, the 2 circles do not intersect because they are tangent. However, 2 poorly positioned circles could have actual values that do intersect.

In the past I used Tom's method of angular position to the small radius.

I have tried "kink point contruction" with mixed results.
