[Xi...]
one program needs to report circle diameters at two different specific angles. the program used two theorical planes via the circle center to construct intersection points. diameter reported simple distance by opposite points. the points showed correctly on 3D model. but result is always totally same. thanks
[Jo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It is the same because your "circle" is a perfect geometric representation of your point set. You will need to directly measure at those angles, or select 2 point diameter and it will tell where min/max occurs.. PCM may allow you do extract what you need, but I can't advise on that. If you have curve, maybe construct a theo. circle, constrained origin, with limited evaluation... That process would require another thread.. [Xi...]
the circle never be "perfect". actual roundness is 5-10µm. the result is totally same even no filter and outlier applied.
[Er...]
Two Point Diameter should fix this problem. Set the Angle, say 45 degrees, then set Angle Range to a small value, say 1 degree.
