[Gr...]
Is there a way to view the probe paths in a multi-segmented feature on Calypso 2021? I want to make sure I've got the move points and clearances correct. I've got a an elevated flat ring that I need to probe both the top and bottom surfaces. The ring is supported by four standoffs (offset at 45 degrees) and is being checked with a flat star probe.
[Cr...]
If you have an offline seat and planner is set up, you should be able to see your paths

If you're trying to see what the probe will do on the machine, there's not much more you can do but to set your travel speed to 20 or 40 mm per second in the run window and keep you're hand on the speed knob. [Ow...]
Without simulation, you can go to CAD, select cad model control and select show probing object and it will show the probe moving to each feature. I guess if the probe was inside a feature that you couldn't see, you could turn the model to wire-frame view and see the proximity of the probe ruby as it travels. I use this method, but usually just for probe positions or to see if a probe will fit into a small slot and refine the retract distance. but if you have "Show probe" on and run a feature or whole program it runs so fast that you cant really see anything with any clarity. [Ri...]
If you have Planner on your local system you can enable "Show navigation". It displays the path as light traces on the screen.Untitled.jpg
