[Cr...]
Hi: I know this question is going to be tricky to answer, is there any characteristic similar to "Result Element" for Calypso 4.0, quite old certainly but it is what it is. To put in context, I want to introduce the result of a manual measurement by depth gage (not possible to reach by CMM) and use as z value for a cone feature. I will appreciate any help, thanks. [Ow...]
I believe the only way would be if you have PCM on the CMM. Do you have a license for Parameter Coded Measurement (PCM)?
[Mi...]
Calypso 4.0 should allow use of PCM regardless, so you could do a few things. If the value changes every run, in the presetting's for that cone feature(Or for the program), you could add a pop up with the inquireNumber() function, assigned to a variable, and then use that variable as a formula for the Z in your cone. If it doesn't change just put the offset in a formula for the Z of that cone.
[Er...]
If the cone is an interior measurement, could you use a ball bearing in the cone?
[Er...]
Also, 4.6 is on the Zeiss Portal fro download. Free "upgrade" as I understand. And it has Result Element!
[Cr...]
Hi, I do not have the PCM option activated, but I will ask for it. Nevertheless I can use PCM syntax through formulas, despite of the fact that I am not familiar with it. As Michael said, I was thinking of using inquireNumber() function but I have some doubts: - How to add a pop up? that is why I required "Result Element" - Could you write an example using inquireNumber() function? Also I could add a field in the header and Get the actual value - what would be the function to get the variable data To Erik: Complex to use a ball bearing, cone I am trying to measure is 3mm long and too deep. I will try to upgrade, but if my after sales service did not offer it because a data inconsistency, this PC cannot be connected to Internet for safety reasons.
