[Ro...]
Rare 2 fer Friday post!!!!! Anyhow, So i still get the Daily (multiple) program crash of my cad windowm i dont think its a Calypso problem, I think its a computer problem. Sometimes it crashes real hard and both my monitors go black for a second, and i get a warning box that pops up, and i dont know what any of that gibberish means. Here are the System Error boxes from my last 2 big crashes. I suspect i have a fault in my video card or one of my memory sticks, but we have an offsite IT guy so its difficult to show him what's going on.System Error wimdow2.pngSystem Error wimdow1.PNG
[Ow...]
Have you clicked on the error report and seen what it say's? Probably more gibish but, sometimes there's something that make sense regarding effected files or hardware
[Ro...]
Hi Roberto, ACIS errors are most frequently a memory issue of some sort. Either not enough Video RAM or system RAM. If you have multiple programs open at a time and they have CAD data in them, it will tax your system. Curves, freeform surfaces, and features that display a lot of data will, as well. The black screen probably means the video card can't keep up with the data being thrown at it. The 3 main components of a PC system to run Calypso smoothly are Video Cards with lots of V-RAM, system RAM, and a fast processor. MAX that ^%$& out! 😃
[Ro...]
Roberto... Just pop one of these bad boys in your system and you should be good to go. Don't forget the 128GB of system RAM!
[No...]
Don't worry about most of the gibberish. If you as a user can extract some basic information from it, like "it has to do with ACIS" that's enough. The rest is only useful for the programmers at Zeiss to track down the error if needed. It's a list of internal procedures and variables involved in the error, but doesn't tell you "this is what caused it!" right away.
[Ri...]
Open Task Manager Find "Acisxx" (Where xx is the version number) Look at the memory usage, if its a very high number, its the Acis kernel, dying...slowly...Acis my Eye.jpg
[Er...]
I can duplicate a WSAECONNRESET on my system. I had to delete parts of the fixture. Also I cannot use CAD Evaluation on that program. As for a computer RAM error, a basic RAM test should be in the BIOS that could be set to run overnight. Another thing to check is the ethernet cable to the controller. If it is loose that can lead to random errors.
