Auto focus on Circles on O-Inspect

I have an issue where auto focus is getting assigned to circles automatically somehow. Anyone know a way to take that off without recreating the circles?

Not sure if this is the same issue or not. This isn't just an auto focus point, it has all the points in the circle being measured as auto focus points. Sorry about that, I should have been clearer in my original post. I will look at this and see if it works. Thank you Richard for your help!

Open up the measurement plan editor and look in the camera settings
under "Assign autofocus". See what's assigned to those features.

Huh? 😮 Are you sure about that? I wouldn't even know how to program something like that (but then, I'm still on Calypso 2018).

Besides, a circle consisting only of auto focus points wouldn't give reasonable results, as auto focus only measures a Z coordinate, while X and Y are more or less identical to their nominals.

It's been a while since I've had an O-Inspect, but I imagine you could manually create a circle by using auto-focus points instead of probing points.

You could, but the result would be highly questionable. Auto focus only measures a Z coordinate inside a focus frame. It doesn't locate a "point of best focus" inside the frame, despite the fact that it outputs "something" for X and Y.
When we were in the process of buying an O-Inspect and had one demonstrated, I asked the guy if I could use auto focus to measure a space point on a cone-shaped surface at a specific radius from the cone axis. He said it should be possible, but when later I tried to do it, I had to realize that it doesn't really locate any useful X/Y coordinates inside the focus frame. The only reliable result is the Z height.
