Circles on torus

I tried to measure a circle on the torus but i can't measure it and probe hit the surface directly to the start point. Z plus clearance plane, clearance distance zero, retract distance 1mm. It is inside torus. I have no idea where I made the mistake??

I have never ised the Circle on a Torus feature; Should the Z height be 1/2 the TorusH?
Another option could be to create an alignment using the Torus, and then measuring a circle path within a Plane.

When i created theoretical torus and clicked for circle on it, it gave me this.
Same Z origin as TorusH - don't know if Z origin of your torus is positive something.

So TorusH should be secondary radius and if you want to measure in primary radius ( deepest ) then this should be same as torus R2 ( D2/2 ) 3001_d209a3f560c2a127a3c87b3121d2d5ab.png

Try No move before and after option. You may need position points too. I've had this behavior where it is navigating around the sphere path.
