[Ád...]
Hello everyone, I'm just getting acquainted with the function of automatic measurement plan generation. I don't have any converter license to my Calypso so my first idea is to import sat format into my program. Is there any CAD software capable of exporting sat file with PMI? Is it possible at all? Can someone help me how to create an ACIS format with PMI? I'd really appreciate any advice.
[Ri...]
SAT/SAB files are ACIS format which is owned by Dassault, so that would be Catia and/or Solidworks. I am unsure if other CAD packages can export in the ACIS format with PMI attached.
[Sh...]
Hello Richard Shomaker, I have added the Smart Dimensioning in Solidworks MBD annotation and exported has .SAT file with including the PMI integration as recommend by Dassault. Even though the PMI data is not appears in Calypso. The following steps are followed in Export from Solidworks. But .SAT model with PMI has the information which is comes with software by Zeiss. Your suggestions are most welcome. Integrating PMI in SAT.pdf
