I made a Curve!

Hey all,

We've recently gotten licenses for Curve for a couple of our Contura's, but we haven't been to a formal training yet. I'm working (with Yoo-Toob) on creating curves and free form surfaces, and it seems pretty straight forward. My question is about filters or point omissions. What I'm seeing is a slight tail at one end of the scan paths. I know it's not really there, so I'm looking to filter it out or omit the points. I remember something about this during Calypso advanced training, but it's all a bit foggy.

How can I smooth this out?

See attached for example.

Open the curve and click on "Change to point list". This is the vertical
down pointing arrow on the left. Here you can delete unwanted points.

If its a FFS, then open the feature strategy, right click on point set and
choose Point Set => Single Points. Here you can delete unwanted points.

Aside from Clarks suggestions, in strategy you can set pre/post scanning distances that allow the probe forces to settle into motion without creating bogus data in them areas that it starts in.
Don't forget that the filters and outliers have to be turned on in the feature when using curve.

I would mentioned, that in my case even if i enter values for pre/post elimination ( like on elements ) then it's doing nothing until i enable it in common window for all elements ( that single window with all elements ). But you will face wrong graphs on PiWeb.

I would rather mask points on curves ( on evaluation tab ) - this behavor is not on FF.
