poor lighting above cmm

The ceilings in the cmm room are high and we have the new led lights, but some people are complaining not bright enough. Does anybody have anything in mind that might help with this. I wouldn't think you could attach anything to the cmm itself. Joking around I suggested lights with a strap attached to their head. lol. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

We have the same issue here.
Been complaining about it for some time too. 🙄
So, until we get better lighting in our lab they got me something similar to this for around $50.
I guess it works okay for when you need it.
When you're done just shut it off and go back to sleep. 🤣 1917_bdbaaf8bc0f70dcb987cb65a4c8ed1a8.jpg

Tube lights or screw in?
How many lumens is the bulb supposed to put out? They sell all kinds of different lumens and colors.
I bought these 60 watt 5,000 lumens at Northern Tool for my shop at home that has 16 foot ceilings.
I used to use 200 watt incandesce lights and boy let me tell you, these are 10 times brighter and cheaper to run, which is good because the wife is going thru menopause and I spend a lot of time out there 🤣 .

Many years ago I suggested a led light strip attached to the drive covers on the bridge. it would have to be powered from inside the bridge so the cables wouldn't produce drag, but the led transformer would produce heat, and that's a nono !

I just use a headlamp. It's amazing how no thought goes into how a space is lit. "Just put one every X feet."

We have a vision CMM with a light right above it. It gets "blinded" at times.
