Upgraded to Custom Stylus Rack - So Beefy

.

I upgraded our Prismo Ultra's stylus rack. I designed the system in Solidworks, and one of our machinists cut the tubes and milled them square.

The MSR system from Zeiss was unstable and could only hold 5-6 stylus bays. This new build can hold up to 10 bays and is able to withstand anti-tank munitions. Not only that, it cost a fraction of what the MSR sells for.

I also replaced the flimsy plastic backplates with steel backplates. The old plates were prone to cracking, which would affect the orientation of the probe bays to the machine.

Looks nice!

Were you previously using the MSR-Mini?

I haven't had any issues with the regular MSR, but the Mini leaves a lot to be desired.
