master password

Getting ready to create multiple accounts for the cmm @ out plant. Could someone please tell me what the master password is by default. Don't want to create a another user account and lock my self out.

There is no default Master password.

When you start Calypso for the first time it will prompt for a password - most people just hit enter.

...and you can always go back to default by using Notepad.exe

I had a situation where i could not access Master because i Effed up my password reset, and it took me several weeks to reset it.
But now i cant find that thread to link it.
It probably would have been December 2021 or January 2022 post

Does anyone remember how to set a new master password?   Or where to look up where passwords are stored in the program files?   

Its for nothing shady I swear.  I inherited a cmm from Germany and don't know any of the master/user passwords on the cmm computer.  

 

Feel free to PM me instructions if you don't want to post it on the forum.  I know there used to be the FAQ about where to go into the files and change it.

NVM, I found the old FAQ from Zeiss where they tell you how to go into the config folder and change the password.  

Good thing I'm a data hoarder.

Haha, hilarious 😄I didn't know Zeiss even provides an extra FAQ on how to bypass their own security measures. Why have user accounts, passwords and permissions at all if you tell everyone how to bypass them?
