[Er...] Posted March 11, 2022 Share Posted March 11, 2022 I am in the market for a new laptop, and with Windows 11 shipping standard I am curious if anybody has had experience running Calypso on Windows 11. It will only be used for offline programming. I know I can downgrade Windows if need be, but before I go through the trouble it would be helpful if anyone could share their experience, be it positive or negative. They will give you the standard answer of pointing to the software specifications, which only qualifies Windows 10 and previous Windows versions. However, you may be able to get information on whether "trials" of Windows 11 have worked with Calypso. Also, don't go cheap on the processor, graphics card and RAM for your new laptop. Calypso, CAD models and scan data drink up system resources. The HP computers sold by Zeiss perform sub-optimal and are expensive for the specs. they come with.
