Default Length unit changes after restart

We recently installed 7.2.08 and are noticing that after a hard restart of the computer (after a freeze) the default "Length unit" (Extras/Settings/Environment) resets to MM from Inch. This is causing formulas in features/characteristics to be calculated incorrectly. Is this a bug or are we setting something incorrectly?

Under the file path "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\config\env" is a "values" file. Make a copy of this file somewhere safe.

Open the file with notepad. Search for "LengthUnit".

You should see something like "#inLengthUnit -> #(mm/inch)". change to "inch" if not already.

Hit find next and you should see another label "#outLengthUnit -> #(mm/inch)". Do the same here then save and close.

Test to see if this works, It worked on my end (7.2.08).

I see they've released a patch for 7.2.08 on 3/31/22.
Anybody know what it fixes?
