[Br...]
We just got a new DuraMax and it is unable to recognize and import STEP files. The drop down only shows SAT (ACIS) and DXF files. The older CONTURA is able to recognize SAT (ACIS), STEP and DXF files. At the time we got the CONTURA (2013) I thought I was told that these three came standard. Did they remove the STEP file translator so now we need to purchase it separate or am I missing something in the settings to turn this on?
[Ro...]
Hi Brian, Yes, it's an add on. 😠 Fortunately most files can be easily converted to .sat with a variety of programs. 🙂

[La...]
You could open the .stp file from the Contura and save it as a .sat file from there.CAD_CAD FILE_Save.pngSave.jpg
[Br...]
Thanks everyone. That's what I figured. We use both in our shop. I will just have to do the work-around when needed.

This mean, that open blank new measuring plan, use CONVERT ON BACKGROUND and Calypso convert selected STP to SAB in the same folder and same name like STP. [To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. either step or iges should have come standard with the machine. However, I believe the DuraMax LTE does not include either of these. I also believe the dxf converter is an option but since you use it, maybe you ordered it.
