Transformation acting quirky

So i have a "Template Program" that i use to start all my new programs, i will generally start 2 to 3 programs per day depending on complexity.
After 20 or 30 SaveAs's the cad model transformation will go wonky, and when i rotate say over x by 90º, there will also be a rotation around Z and Y by some small amount, just enough to make me uncomfortable and for my "See probing object" to be off and look weird.

My workaround to this point has been to go back a couple week or so and grab a program that was created before it went crexy and make that my new Template program, and that one will work for a couple weeks until it decided to go funny.

In the above pictures, that was one 90º rotational move.
The more moves i make, the worse it gets. meaning if i spin over X then again over Z, the model is way out of whack.
Ive never done a study to see if rotating 180º is worse than moving 90º, I also dont know if rotating over X, Y, &Z give equal amount of slop.

What I mean is this:
You say it starts after 20-30 Save As operations. Does it happen all at once or does it gradually get worse with every save?
What's probably even more interesting: Do you also (re)save (not only 'save as') the template program or do you leave it untouched?

What I'm aiming at is some kind of cumulating effect, possibly caused by tiny rounding errors.

I've been using my program template for over two years with no issues like this. I don't use the "Modify CAD Entities" for starting my model. I always bring my model in and use CAD-Modification-CAD Model Transformation. I'm unsure of the differences between the two.

This was my suspicion concerning base alignment. If you never save the template, and only save as "new program" , I don't know how it gets corrupted. Try deleting the base alignment used in the template (found in basesystems folder) next time this occurs. It may refresh and correct the problem next run.

I typically never do rotations from that dialogue screen. I always do it from CAD - Modification - CAD Model Transformation.

The only time I do anything from the dialogue screen you are showing is when I need to Transform (no rotations) the model, so that I can test if it is going to fit on a CMM or not.

They should be the same though.

I use CAD - Modification - CAD Model Transformation for my first model, but use the other dialogue method to translate any second model I bring in. I've done multiple programs with two models where I need to flip the part to continue inspection , and had no issues.

It's also useful on an offline seat when you need to bring in a model of the fixture for collision checks. And in case the fixture needs some simple modifications, you can often apply them in Calypso without the need for CAD software (e.g. move a support pin or a quick clamp).

This is absolutely a problem and it's repeatable. I don't know what causes it, but it's why I don't use the transformation tab on the Modify Cad Entities tab to bring in a new model to compare to the old one. I end up having to import my new model for Cad Comparison into a blank program, align it correctly, export it, and then bring it into the new revision program. Yet another workaround.

I thought I had it figured out at one point. It seemed like it was taking the deviations from the previous calculated Base Alignment and applying them to the new model during transformation. It seemed to work sometimes if I created a new Base Alignment but then sometimes it doesn't. I suspect there something like that going on, like a small rounding error, but I gave up trying to figure it out. 😕
