Recaluclate Nominal Values for a 2D unknown Curve

For a 2D unknow curve feature, what is the best way to update the nominal values?

The nominal data of my current 2D curve is way off, because of incorrect initial nominal settings. (Under Extras > Settings > Measurement, >> Nominal setting. The amount there should be 0.001. It was 0.1 by default, for an imperial measurement).

One way I thought is to go into Modify nominals> actuals to nominals. Is there any better way?

Hi Chandra,
That's what I usually do. Then you can rerun the curve and do that same process again until you have the smallest deviations from nominal. That's part of the process I use to reverse engineer stuff.

Just keep an eye on what it thinks the new nominals are. I've had situations where it did weird stuff, randomly flipped nominal vectors, etc. I've had instances where I've had to recall 2d curves into 3d curves because they were less problematic. I try and use 3d curves wherever I can, but that's just a personal preference. I find them more robust.

Sometimes is very handy to make from digitized curve a smooth and corrected CAD model in SW or other CAD sw.
Then you can get rid of some glitches from sharp edges etc.
