Profile graph changes depending on datums selected

I dont know whats going on, nothing changes in the evaluation or filtering or outlier settings, but when i change from "Base alignment" to datums, the display graph just shows a couple random points.

I don't know if i can trust the results.

Additionally the customer states a minimum amount of points to be taken on the scan path, and what i have to show is much less than their requirement, but in actual im roughly doubling their minimum. so i cant send a graph that shows like 9 points.

It seems, that base alignment is not the same as for datums. You can try to make new alignment system from datums to be able to select it from list and look how big difference is between this and base system.
Or you can increase lookup distance for points in "Combined free form ..."

The datum structure for this profile is different than ABC which is what the base alignment is.
My concern is that when i load my datums, the number of points shown on the graph drops from around a hundred to less than 10.
I found that as i randomly change my datum structure (ive been trying to figure this out for a while) the points appear with some datums and get "filtered" with other datums.

You cannot use Points in the Tertiary (typically - especially if used for clocking).

Either make a Secondary Alignment, or make a theoretical circle from the XYZ of the Point.

Can you explain further?
I use Space Points for tertiary all the time, with or without offsets or rotation values (via Special button) for clocking.
I've never had an issue and I layout parts to determine if the alignment and results are correct.

I meant as the Tertiary in a DRF. If you are using them within an Alignment they work as intended.

Please see the attached screenshots.

Inside of a Position or Profile, Calypso will show you the Alignment that it creates from the DRF (this doesn't work if using a Bore Pattern). Notice how with the Circle you can see the X axis rotating to go through the Circle. It does not do this with a Point. If you want to use a Point as the Tertiary. You either have to create an Alignment, or use theoretical features.
