Is there a way if i make a change to current base alignment that the points will remain where they are at upon a new alignment or is there a way to use model modification to do this and not loose where your points are.

If you change BA every feature will follow the new BA, i think you can do cad model transformation..

I think you are wanting to use the "Keep Position" feature. When you create a new alignment, if you want to feature to keep the coordinates relative to the new alignment, and physically move hit the checkmark under the alignments tab.

If you don't want the holes to move, then make sure "Keep Position" is turned off, and the only thing that will change are the reference dimensions to locate the features.

If you do not check that, the coordinates will change but the feature will not move. Please see the attached images for examples 4326_2b3a88b2fce6496c717c5e86da8d4c95.jpg

I have had success with making an alignment the same as the new Base Alignment, changing the features to the alignment, then making the new Base Alignment. This has saved me when I need to mirror a program over the -Z which Calypso will not allow.
