[Ti...] Posted June 25, 2022 Share Posted June 25, 2022 I run a CT Metrotom. We utilize our own 3d printed fixtures to hold up to 5 parts. From time to time we get a fuzzy, incomplete mesh that looks like someone tried to spray paint the part....Our basic procedure is to delete the stl's and polygonize the 'volume', box the part and then run a smooth and thinning operation and somehow we come up with a good looking mesh. Is there a reason the output is bad initially? Does the CT scanner perhaps have trouble with the 3d printed fixtures? This can happen randomly, but certain parts it happens most of the time.
