[Ja...]
Hello. I am trying to add probe angles using a VAST XXT RDS-CAA. I am running Calypso 2021 on a Contura. I am using a single point, and not a star probe. I am needing to go from A0,B0 to A90,B90. Thank you!

[Aa...]
Is there a way to have it so when i select a new angle, I won't need to qualify it. Basically when i need a new angle, its tedious to have to break out the calibration set. Feel like there should be a way where it stores a set value for any additional angles. Thanks in advance
[RA...]
Hello, At the time of creating the new configuration. select the RDSCAA option. That way you can interpolate any degree multiple of 2.5ΒΊRDSCAA.jpg
[Er...]
Please sign in to view this quote. We have about 30 standard angles we use in addition to the standard five. For example... 0,45 0,-45 90,45 90,-45 0,30 0,-30 90,30 90,-30 We just have to make sure we do not shank out the probe.
[Je...]
. Please sign in to view this quote. It is important to note that using the CAA calibration option, although it reduces total cal. time, sacrifices some accuracy. I just finished a training at Zeiss in Maple Grove last week, and the trainer confirmed this (although he had a better explanation as to why). [Aa...]
I don't have that icon available to check, wonder why? (rds-caa)
[Je...]
. Please sign in to view this quote. Aaron, CAA is an option that has to be "turned-on," for lack of a better definition, by Zeiss. Usually, the hardware tech. who calibrates our machine enables it, but perhaps Zeiss can do this remotely. [To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Aaron, How old is your machine? Look under the RDS unit. Does it say "RDS-CAA" in large red letters? If not, your machine does not have the capability. Do you have a TL-1 sensor? I believe TL-1 is not capable of RDS-CAA.rds-caa.jpg

[Aa...]
It does have the RDS-CAA in red, its a 2010 contura g2. Also it is a TL1, although we are having issues with it and will soon be replaced with a TL3 model within a few days to a week.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Interesting. I was under the impression that if you had those letters, you had the option. When you create a NEW stylus system, is the RDS-CAA checkbox option not available?
[Aa...]
There is not a checkbox available when creating a new stylus
[Ro...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Not a new stylus. A new stylus system. If you're trying to add angles to an existing stylus system that wasn't created as RDS-CAA you wont have the option. Have you tried creating a brand new stylus system as RDS-CAA? [Je...]
. Aaron, As I mentioned, you need to contact Zeiss to have them turn on the CAA option. It has to do with files that communicate with the controller. Jeff Frodermann Meier Tool & Engineering Anoka, Minnesota .
