When and how do we decide which feature to use plane or 3d, cylinder or circle, intersections etc. And what about parts without a plane like a cylindrical part with curved ends. Even manuals can be useful Anyway "spatial" i primary and "planar" is secondary and it depends on drawing. For rotational parts you use cylinder, 3dline or sphere. It has a Datum Reference Frames section that explains the six degrees of freedom. Unless you get prints with ISO standard, I strongly suggest investing the book. Or, google GD&T 6 degrees of freedom.
