What causes the constant variation of the cmm's digital readout (traffic light)?

Just curious:

What causes the constant variation of the cmm's digital readout (traffic light), even when the cmm is not in motion?

Material expansion/contraction? Vibration? Other?

Is this variation compensated when the sensor takes a point either by mechanical means or computational correction?

The sensor is sort of free floating and always changing position. Try softly touch the probe with your finger and you will see it clearly.

Also, I'm very jealous of your Ultra-machine 😃
