[Ph...]
Hello everyone, Looking for suggestions on constructing the B-C Datum call-out on this print. I have a Contura G2 with curves but not freeform or PCM. Thinking this should be a 3D line thru all internal features or is it just a stepped cylinder ? (ASME 14.5-2009) Any help and suggestions appreciated. Thank you in advance.
[ni...]
Hello, In this case I use 3d line and it's works fine, you could try the both and see what happen, normaly it should be the same. just a question with witch software do you make your red bubbles on the blueprint ? [Ja...]
It's not everything in between B and C. It is only B and C. A step cylinder would be right but considering how short the depth is, I would create a circle on B, a circle on C, and a 3D line recalling the two circles. [Je...]
. Also, make sure Datum B-C is constrained to Datum A. Due to the depth-to-diameter ratio already mentioned, adding ISO_5459 constraint will make the Datum structure more stable. . Jeff Frodermann Meier Tool & Engineering Anoka, Minnesota . [Je...]
Please sign in to view this quote. . Good question, Shabu. I guess I wasn't concerned with conforming to the standard, whether ASME or ISO. I ran into a similar measurement setup a year ago, and we were noticing too much instability in the constructed B-C datum due to the depth being much smaller than the diameter of the features. Constraining to the primary datum seemed to solve this problem. Jeff Frodermann Meier Tool & Engineering Anoka, Minnesota .

[Ph...]
I use inspection Xpert for my ballooning software. They have worked with us and can now populate data from the Zeiss, Keyence and Micro-Vu into our AS9102 forms automatically. Thank you everyone for your inputs. [Pe...]
For bubbling, I have some adobe stamps that I found. You can unzip these into C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins\Annotations\Stamps (Or whichever adobe reader product you are using. I haven't figured out how to put them into other pdf software like foxit) The only thing is you need to enable javascript in your reader settings. (Edit->Preferences->Javascript-> Check box) But it is very easy to use. You stamp, put in your number, press ok. Then if you have keyboard shortcuts turned on (the key is J or K I think), it will select the same stamp again to make it faster. (Edit->Preferences->General->Use single key accelerators) adobe bubble stamps.zip
