[Ra...]
The Duramax on the shop floor seems to be wobbling around more than it used to. For parts that are high in Z dimension it seems like the probe is taking another half second to stabilize after each move. What are you using to bolt down the Duramax. And are there torque specs or anything else to know?
[Mi...]
Does it not have adjustable feet? It's been so long since I had to do anything with mine.
[Er...]
Bolting it down is what Zeiss says to do in the manual. Machine leveling pads are be better/cheaper for us because of vibrations from presses. There should be three holes in the base for this purpose. [To...]
I had a wobbling problem on ours until we went from 4 pads to 3.
[Ra...]
During calibration I was told to bolt down through the two openings on the base but I haven't done that yet. I can't tell where the wobbling is coming from. There appear to be 3 adjustment screws near the top of the base (4/5/6) Where are you placing the machine leveling pads? On the ground or the top of the base?
[An...]
we use a vibration-insulated work plate for our DuraMax. These systems are also approved by Zeiss for the DuraMax. https://www.bilz.ag/en/insulated-tables/
[Er...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The floor was so warped the factory pads were not thick enough... Looks like our maintenance people just put two adjustable pads at the black circles.
