Using GearPro with QC-CALC

Wondering if anyone has experience capturing GearPro data in QC-CALC?
I'm not sure if it is even possible, but it would be ideal with our current setup.
Another option would be, if there was a way to get the GearPro data onto a Calypso report.
Not sure if that is possible either.
If anyone has any experience with either if these and willing to share your knowledge it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Marc

GEAR PRO can export data for statistical evaluations in the Q-DAS-ASCII transfer format. Not sure if QC-CALC can handle that?
Second question results to CALYPSO report, this is possible in two ways.
#1 Introduced with CALYPSO 2018, upload complete GEAR PRO report pages (JPG-format) in a common CALYPSO and GEAR PRO report within PiWeb.
#2 Will be introduced with GEAR PRO 2019, additional possiblity to upload numerical values from GEAR PRO in a common report together with CALYPSO characteristics within PiWeb.

What version of GearPro are you using?
What if anything did you do to get QC-Calc to recognize GearPro data?

I am getting QC to read everything on the table file that is generated in GearPro. You have to go into gearpro and send the table files to whatever folder QC Calc looks at. So that means I have two QC database files for each gear. One from the table files in calypso and one from Gearpro.

Man, I can't get this to work.
One thing I noticed is I don't have a drop down like yours next to the "Table file export" checkbox to set the directory.
I also don't have the PiWeb export (CALYPSO) checkbox option.
Maybe I just need a newer version.

My guess is that the version is your problem. I just upgraded Calypso and Gearpro and it wasn't until after I upgraded that I got QC Calc.

I'm pretty much a QC Calc newb but learning quickly.

Hi, I am using Gear Pro 2017, and I do not have the drop down list beside table file option. Just wandering which version of Gear Pro you are using in order to get the drop down list? Thank you very much.

Success!
I've updated to the latest version of Calypso and GearPro and I am now able to capture data in QC-Calc!
Chad - Until I re-read your reply, I was wondering why Calypso and GearPro results were not being combined into one QC database.
That possibility would be nice.
Thanks for your help

Marc

I agree that it would be nice if we could combine those reports. There has to be a way to combine table files. I need to get back to researching this. I'll keep you posted on this.

Chad,

What are the settings in QC Calc to be able to pull in the Gear Pro data? I know Calypso creates the .txt files in RESULTS Directory. I have Calypso 2020 & Gear Pro 2020. I found the settings in your Post above for Calypso but do you have a screen shot of settings in QC CALC?

Thanks !

So I don't change any settings in QC-Calc. In my "RUNEND.BAT" I have line that says
xcopy "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\workarea\results\*.txt" "Q:\CMM Results\QC_SPC" /c /m /r /y

This moves the .txt files to the QC SPC folder which will then get gobbled up by QC Calc.

let me know if you have any questions.

Gentlemen, an alternative solution to create a joint report (and statistical evaluations) is to use the functionality of PiWeb export which supports numerical values export to CALYPSO since GEAR PRO 2019 version. Just have a look into the revision information. Attached two screenshots to get an impression. Maybe it works after the PiWeb export of numerical values from GEAR PRO to CALYPSO to use table file export afterwards to get one talbe file with all values?

The default folder location for the Table Files if you don't have the drop-down is located in this folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\GearNT\Reporting

My is 2016 version and that's where I point my QC-CAL to.

Hope that helps.
