Anybody know what the going rate is for a cmm programmer ? With all the problems hiring people, I was wondering if the pay rate has ballooned up as much as general labor.

Good for them: the average age of fast-food workers is 29. Forty percent are 25 or older; 31 percent have at least attempted college; more than 26 percent are parents raising children.

Lets raise some more wages, that have not kept up with inflation, etc.

Keith, even though a hamburger and fries are around $9 and just two years ago the same cost around $7, don't get me wrong regarding wage growth. I'm OK with it as long as it stays on the positive side proportionate to inflation.

I guess my point was that I don't believe the skilled labor or even degreed work has increased as much as cost, taxes, etc.... not in my region.
I know some grade school teachers and other tax supported workers who's wages haven't increased nowhere close to the bottom end which some consider it a balancing out effect but, it sure doesn't motivate young people to want to become teachers or policemen or firemen/women, important roles in my opinion.

Back to your initial question: I hear talk of increasing wages on the pay scale across the board may be coming, to keep wages competetive... I'll keep you posted 😃

It seems we should do something...how do you tell someone making $15.50 per hr, that the whole crew he manages is getting raises to $15.00 per hr, but you're not getting a raise. They get a 40 % raise, you get 5%... ???
