CAD File disappeared

Upon opening a new program I just made, the model has disappeared and the Show CAD Model button is greyed out. I looked in the CAD info and it says "CAD model is not in the folder specified", and shows the path right to the folder I have it saved. So it is definitely there. I went into the cadinfo text file in the program folder and it is there, but the jpg file marked "model" and png file marked "Previewimage" are not there either. Anyone experience this? This was programmed on Calypso 2020, and I just installed 21.

I have ran into this issue about 10 times since about 2017. Mostly on elder programs. My best guess on what causes it has to do with clicking close and saving while it closes. On rare occasion ( unless we have just installed a new software iteration. ) an error message or notification pops up just before it closes.
Fortunately, after 2019 was implemented, I've noticed if I just re-upload the model into the program with the issue, the surfaces tend to re-associate themselves to the model. The only time this didn't occur was on parts with other modeling within the program.

As long as you save from the file drop down menu before you close the program, this issue doesn't occur. ( within my experience.)

It's curious really, such a mundane detail can cause the cad file to drop, but here we are. lol.

Just a consideration: If Pi-web is giving you error information about not being properly setup when you close the program and save, I've noticed that error generates this issue more often than others. I had to get an engineer to help me clear this error from our Template program we build from. I ran into a rash of the problem from Pi-Web's attempt to correct a problem.

I hope this helps you dodge the problem. It is a frustrating thing to have happen when you spend hours if not days making a solid program, just to have your CAD info not properly save.
