Masking on printout

I'm trying to mask space point distances on custom printout and I can't get masking to work the way it always has worked in the past; turning on/off "mask" and "mark" in characteristics setting editor/additional printout and then seeing the little mask icon appear next to the characteristic. Maybe I'm missing a global setting under Extra/Settings, but darned if I can find it.
Any ideas?

In the Multiple Printout window, at top right, select Mark characteristics. Select the items you want to mask or hide and "Set to" On. Click OK

At bottom of Multiple Printout window, tick the "Hide" checkbox.

Tom, I recently switched from default reporting to PiWeb and what you mention here isn't working for me on 2020 Calypso. I've tried the mask and mark options both on and off on characteristics that are masked off in the characteristics column and no matter what I do they always show up on the piweb report. They have the tiny (GG) or (GN) icon attached to each masked characteristic name on the report. I'm starting to think its a bug. I wouldn't care as much but where I work we copy a lot of preexisting programs for new versions/models of gun parts and the old data (characteristics) I like to just mask rather than delete in case I need to grab something from the list. Any other thoughts on how to keep masked dims off piweb reports? Any word if its a version of Calypso I might be fighting?

As Tom already said, and this is important, after marking characteristics, you must check "Hide" checkbox in order for characteristics to not show up on piWeb.
Masking here is a two step process. Mark and hide.
If you are doing both and still shows up on piWeb then it might be a bug.

I figured it out. I had all the correct boxes checked but I program in simulation. Once I uploaded my template to an online CMM I made sure the designated characteristics had "Mask" and "Mark" switched to "on" just like at my desk and they did not appear on the reports. That's just how Zeiss likes to do ya. Maybe this will help someone in the future 🤠
