Now I must deactivate rotary table to qualify probes? Calypso 7.2 RTAB users.

In Calypso 7.2, does everyone with an air bearing rotary table now have to make the rotary table inactive just to qualify a probe? Before, it was annoying enough that you had to raise the table to qualify a probe. Now I have to raise table, make rotary table inactive, qualify probe, then remember to make rotary table active again before running program.

Weren't computers supposed to make thing easier ? That was the point, right ? Here's another little improvement. Used to be you could mask out a few characteristics and run an abbreviated version of your program to help a set up man fine tune his process . Sometimes you needed to turn a few back on, but not all of them. So you could click on the masked char. and they would highlite on the screen, you know so you could be sure you were turning the right char. back on. Not so on 2021, Click on a char. that's masked and nothing happens, no highlite, nothing ! Sounds minor, till you have to unmask all the char. then re-mask what you need.
It's the little things that make you like, or dislike software. It worked before, now it doesn't....

I wish it wasn't. Hopefully it will get taken care of in first service pack, but until then I'll have to come up with a work around.

Just started in 7.2.

FYI, this only impacts the Air Bearing Rotary tables.

No. If the RT is set to 'inactive' then the probe will quality just fine, even with a program open in the window menu that has RT activated. This only happens when the program with the active RT is pulled up on main screen.

AND I just ran the test on my RT-01 and I got the same error. Can anyone else with rotary table who is running 7.2 see if they are getting same error?

UPDATE:

I just installed latest service pack and this fixed the issue. I can now qualify probes with my RT activated. This was probably the most annoying Calypso bug I've dealt with. glad it's fixed.
