Complicated angle

With curve it can be really simple - just calculate angle from curve length and delta Z from start to end point.

I am strugling with scanning path without curve - he can play with really big cylinder to make helix path.

Isn't somewhere ability to project it to plane as perimeter? Like scan helix to get projected line?

As stated with Curve, use a cylinder cutting object to create a path down center of ramp.

Next option would be probe 2 points in ramp to create a line. Use self center strategy so it will follow curvature(scan).
The tricky part will be recalling or projecting that into 2d line so you get only A1 or A2, NOT a compound angle.

Does he have a model? Section 3 or 4 equally spaced portions of that inside form, and create curves.
After scanning them, get the Minimum Coordinate from each one of them. Recall those into a 3d line
(That might be a little tricky due to that inside curved surface).

We do not have curve. Since that should be a cylinder bent around the center that would make it a torus.

If torus won't work I'd try one small cylinder on one end 8mm long scanned with lines. Then another at the other end. Create a line between recalled features.

Then compare back to a plane.
