language change

does anyone else offline seat has same problem? language setting is English. tool bar shows ok. but any feature select or utility menu change to Germany. 😮 😮 😮

I know if the program was created in German you can't change it by selecting a
different language. You can translate what's there and change it. Not sure what's
going on in your situation?

Yes, already existing feature names do not change as they are only suggestions that can be edited freely by the user. Also they may be referenced by external systems (think of SPC software) which may react funny if an expected chracteristic name suddenly changes to something else.

So language change only affects internal text strings like in menus and windows, but none of the names the user has created. If any menu items etc. are still in German after the change it's either because of a bug (very likely, haha 😉) or because the window hasn't been closed inbetween. To be sure, better close and restart Calypso after the change.

Is it possible the initial install had the German language selected?
If that is the case, uninstall and reinstall with the language you prefer.
