[To...]
I have symmetry plane (not symmetry construction of 2 planes). I am taking 7 points on each side. I have edited the position values of each of the points so they are directly opposite each other. I can get a distance of the symmetry plane but I want to report the distance at each set of opposing points. So, now I am creating a point feature and using recall feature points and Range Limits to extract each point number, one by one. Is it possible to create a loop on the point feature and do the same thing? I guess I should just go ahead and try it myself. Off to Calypso.............. Well. that didn't work. [Re...]
In the Element you use for <Recall Feature Points> you also need a pattern only with the number of points you want to recall. Then you can add <LOOP1> with formula in the range limits of the point recall. In the Distance you select Point(*) That should work !
[To...]
I am thinking it would have been easier to create the points first. Then, recall them into the symmetry plane. I remember doing something similar to this. I created the points on the front and back. On the back points, I used a formula in the X and Z fields to get the Nominal X and Z values from the front points. That way if I wanted to edit their locations, I only had to edit the front points and the back points would move automatically.
