[Da...]
Hello all, i'm trying to figure out how to run just a couple of features in a pattern of a group of features. I have tried this before but i just can't remember how to tell it to do it. So for example if i have a group of lines(3 lines) set for a pattern of 20, i just want to execute line 3 pattern line10. How do i index it to tell it just to execute/run that one line. I've tried typing in the semi colon and the dash line like it tells you to do but it goes ahead and runs all lines for this example it would run all 20 patterned lines of line feature 3. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.
[Mi...]
I'm not sure the "real" way to do it, but you could just make a characteristic (something simple like x-value) that references only those 3 elements. When you enter the feature name in the characteristic editor, instead of "2dLine(*)" just change it "2dLine(1,3,1)", then select the characteristic and Execute Now. [Da...]
I guess that's one way of doing it thanks for your input. I remember doing it before at the features side when that box comes up with the asterisk i tried following the example shown with the semi colon and dash line but it just runs all patterns of that one feature. [Da...]
You can make a new pattern of only the features you want, and switch back when you are finished. the new pattern will be available for later if you need. Pattern can store Quite a few patterns.
[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Run the feature from the feature window. A dialog box will pop up with an "*" (Asterisk) in it. enter the pattern number you want to run. Examples: to run 3d Line1 pattern 10, enter "10" and click OK. to run 3d Line1 Patter 10; 12; 14-16; 20 - This will run pattern 10, pattern 12, pattern 14 thru 16 and then pattern 20. Then click OK. [Da...]
You can go into your strategy left click on the line you want to run then right click it and choose execute now. You will have to position the probe first.
