Profile Question

Hey guys,

How would you go about checking the profiles? I do not have curve, and what is the best method to get the proper measurement?

Without curve/Freeform, one option would be (lots) of space-points.

you can try making individual features such as cylinder, planes. Use basic dimension to define their nominal values.
Evaluate profile for each individual features. If you want one result only, then use maximum result feature and pull all the individual profile characteristics to get one result.

That's actually a great idea. We did what Jayesh suggest on some similar part geometry and it worked really well.

This will be difficult to do depending on the depth of the cutouts. I believe if you created that planes and cylinders with all the correct size, length, geometry, etc. you can then take space points on these surfaces after they are created just as if you had a solid model. Then you can set these to a specific height, and report the greatest deviation doubled as your profile using the min/max results and a result formula. Maybe this will work for you.

Just hitting vast nest but - if is any CAD software available, then max 15 minutes to create simple model with just this small area of part.

In Calypso 5 I have to measure the features in an Alignment that matches the DRF or the numbers are way off.
