Hello to everyone,

Our company works 100% for the automotive industry. There's been a lot of slowdown due to the chip crisis. Unfortunately, we are working with 50% capacity.
In which sectors do you work and how is your business situation?

At the moment iam working in a CMM third party service company. We are dealing with almost automotive industry jobs and few aerospace parts. We are recovering from covid-19 crisis ,obviously our businesses is increasing. Ford has decided to close their plant in India due to financial losses, but it is their marketing failure.

It took me a long time to find a new job, because i 100% did not want to put myself back in the automotive field.
if i was willing to go work at an auto factory (in Michigan) there were lots and lots of openings available, but thats not really your question.
Currently I work for 100% medical and we never slowed down one bit during the crazy times, in 7 days ill start at my new place working for medical + aerospace + open to all comers in the "we can get you parts as fast as overnight" field. its a very interesting place I'm heading to.

I work for a precision bearing company, that supplies parts for auto, medical, windmills, steelmills, drones... If you can put a bearing in it, we sell bearings for them 🤣 No slowdowns at all, due to Covid.

Automotive/Marine turbochargers/superchargers here. We have been growing at a staggering rate. Regulations are forcing a lot of manufacturers to put a charging system on their engines to stay in compliance.

Mostly Agriculture and we'd be close to plan if it wasn't for all the constraints/delays keeping us from getting parts when we need them.

I'm guessing the turbo chargers create a cleaner more complete combustion?

We produce engine transmission parts for German and French automotive companies. We spent the first 9 months of the year very quickly, but this month there was a very rapid decrease in production. Companies attribute this decrease to the problem in chip production.

That's funny, Clarke. Same story here. I work in the medical device industry... new building is almost finished and we're hiring aggressively.

I know of one medical implant company that is at 50% of their normal business. I guess it depends on the type of medical industry.
