Calypso don`t support this mouses. I talked a lot with both Supports (3dConnexion and Zeiss)
I think you have the same problem like me? If i remember right, there was only one axis working?

I found out it works fortuitously with the very very old V3.18 3dConnexion drivers. But it doesn`t work if you have open the adobe PDF reader 😃

The mouse works quite fine with the driver Christian mentioned above. All i have to do, is to start the 3d Connexion Control Panel, which does load with the error "driver allready in use" ... and then i can use the mouse in Calypso and other applications.

Nevermind. It looks like a few restarts make everything work fine.

I can say that at least Calypso 6.6.1601 works well with the current drivers for the spacemouse.

Has anyone used this mouse with the 6.8 version of Calypso? I was thinking of purchasing the 3D Connextion mouse but not if it's isn't compatible.

I have one, and am using it on 6.8.04. I have the pro version (the big one with extra buttons) - some of the extra functionality is limited. The snap-to-view buttons and fit buttons don't work, so I am not sure the big version was worth the extra money.

Personally, I find it useful, especially on models with lots of features, or large parts.

I have used the older version suggested and it worked great.

I just downloaded their latest version to see if it would work better. I seem to only rotate or move in one axis at a time. Is that normal for anyone?
I also have the latest 2019 Calypso

Has anyone tried this recently? I got my new SpaceMouse Pro, but have had intermittent success with using it in Calypso. I've narrowed it down to a recognized active program issue. Calypso has 2 main executable running; vwnt and acis28. While launching the 3dConnexion properties in Calypso I've narrowed it down to a recognized active program issue. If its working, "acis28 Calypso" is shown as active program, if not, "vwnt" is shown. I'm unsure of how to force the recognition by 3DxWare though so that it works consistently. Has anyone else had similar issues?
I'm running Calypso 6.4.28 and 6.6.0 on an offline seat with latest 3DxWare driver. 6.4 normally works, but 6.6 rarely/never does.

I am running Calypso 6.8.12, and 3DxWare 10.6.7.3198, which is 1 version back.

In my experience, if have the 3dxware control panel open, then open calypso, it should work. If not, reboot, then try again.

I've just got my new Spacemouse Pro. I'm running Calypso 7.2 and the latest 3Dx software, however I'm only able to get the mouse to zoom in and out on my CAD model. Can I get the mouse to rotate the model and can I map the buttons to features within Calypso? any help would be really appreciated.

Hey Josh, I am in the same boat. We got the spacemouse to use and calypso will not recognize it properly. After so many troubleshooting I have figured out that it will work if you close calypso and the 3d mouse setting and open calypso again. Open the settings and turn on the checkmarks. Especially the one that says "Dominant"

The mouse works perfect UNTIL you switch programs. It will not work anymore after you open a new program but will keep working if you go back to the first program you opened that does work.

I found out that the SpaceMouse only works with "acis30 Calypso" and does not work with "vwnt".
"acis30 Calypso" gets assigned to the first program you open up but "vwnt" gets assigned to every other program you open up afterwards, which explains why it stops working with any other program except the first one you open up.

We need Zeiss to somehow keep acis30 Calypso on all programs opened. Until then, youll need to restart calypso every time you want to use the mouse with a different program.
