Adjacent Points

The Zeiss Cookbook recommends including 5 adjacent points for outlier elimination when scanning. If a plane measurement is changed from scanning to using single points, would this setting throw out all/most of the points if one is an outlier?

Whether you scan or take single points, outliers will be processed if any point falls outside of the ±3S inside or outside the work piece. If adjacent points is active, say goodbye to those, too.

On the other hand, filters may or may not be applied. For example, if you scanned the plane with enough points for the filters to work (7 points min per cutoff length), the filters would be applied. If you went into the strategy and ticked the "single points" checkbox, the result will still be filtered. If you took fewer points (less than 7 points per cutoff length), the filters would not be processed.
