[Ja...]
Has anyone used the Carbon3 probe holders and racks with success? We have a space issue since we have to "slide" and re-reference a few large parts that don't fit on our Contura 10/12/6 XXT in one clamping. We can't put the probe rack in the middle of the back so we have it on the right side corner. We can fit 6 probes across but need twice that many. The Carbon3 looks like a solution but it would be nice to get some feedback on someone who used it and how it was setup. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Zeiss-Probe-Ra ... 3626898864

[Ri...]
I know of a business using many of these, a lot of them. They had one single issue that was easily resolved. The Lid that covers the stylus, the springs can come unattached preventing the lid to close. Thier fix, they glued a small magnet to the back of the lid, a magnet strong enough to stay in contact with the XXT sensor after it extracted the stylus, which closes the lid to cover either the stylus or empty socket. [Th...]
I have one of these. Yes, the covers now have small magnets press-fit or glued into the vertical tabs so the XXT will pull it shut. There's no constant force keeping them extended, so if you open one up it stays open until you or the XXT catches it and moves it back. Locating the rack tiers is done with an insert they pack in with the rack. Didn't realize I took a picture of the underside, but you can see the thumb turns poking out along the top and the hole where the countersink is for the XXT to locate in.
