[Za...]
Hello all, I'm programming a part in offline mode and I usually run through a simulation run just to make sure things run smoothly before I attempt to run it on the CMM. I'm having an issue with a profile callout that's from a plane that consists of 3 spot faces that are coplanar to a plane on the other side of the part that's parallel and made up of 3 target scans on a cast surface. Here is the print: Here's what's happening: Can somebody point me in the right direction as far as what I'm doing incorrectly? Thanks, Zach
[Pe...]
I would just slap in DatumA into your secondary and tertiary datums.

Do you know why I have to have the same datum listed in the secondary and tertiary as well?
[Da...]
I ran into the EXACT same issue today and was trying to figure out what was going on. I did find that if you created a free form feature and recall the plane that it will allow you to dimension the free form feature to the single datum without a problem. [Th...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Surface profiles don't like incomplete DRFs for some reason. If I recall from other posts I've seen here, it either needs to be completely empty or completely full.
